TechCentrics is searching for an experienced self-starter to take ownership of their desktop/mobile and intra-office systems. Under the direction of the IT Director, the Technical Support Analyst will provide front line support to user’s technical issues so staff can focus on the mission. Work location is Arlington VA or Herndon VA.

TechCentrics is searching for an experienced self-starter to take ownership of their desktop/mobile and intra-office systems. Under the direction of the IT Director, the Technical Support Analyst will provide front line support to user’s technical issues so staff can focus on the mission. Work location is Arlington VA or Herndon VA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all aspects of the office technology environment including PC/laptop/tablet/phone configuration, deployment, maintenance and application management
  • Work directly with staff in identifying technical issues and providing rapid and effective response to their help desk requests
  • Maintain and keep current all security, anti-virus, anti-spam, whitelist, and WiFi for all users
  • Provide help desk support in a MS Office 365, Active Directory environment
  • Ensure data integrity, security and ease of access for on-site and remote users alike
  • Act as the first point of contact for all technical support issues for the entire staff and for all hardware and software applications
  • Design file system access/permissions/backup plans to insure secure access and retrieval of data
  • Perform all add/move/change request for user accounts including network, VPN, email, phone and business applications
  • Formulate action items for proactive improvement of all technology tools and services
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field with 3 years experience supporting a busy office environment
  • Associate degree or related certifications with 5 years applied working experience
  • Certifications and Experience can be substituted for formal training
  • Strong knowledge of personal computing, MAC and Windows PC/Workstation based LAN systems, basic TCP/IP protocols, and Infrastructure management tools
  • Understanding of wireless technology (internet/cellular), encryption software, back-up and recovery processes, hardware, software and applications
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, decisiveness, good judgement, and the ability to work effectively with clients, staff and vendors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users
  • Experience supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously, and prioritizing work to meet and or exceed established service levels
  • Wide ranging technical knowledge, problem solving, communication/listening, patience and diplomacy

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Security+, CCNA certification or similar technological certifications
  • Experience in fast-paced office environment
  • Experience with administration of the following: Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Teams, Quickbooks, Azure, Cisco ASA, ManageEngine Service Desk, Meraki
  • Experience with Office 365 Admin Center (OAC), Exchange Admin Center (EAC), PowerShell scripting
